A SMARTvascular Dx test predicts the chances of you having a heart attack within the next 5 years.
The test detects unstable cardiac lesion ruptures – the most common cause of heart attacks.

This test will report the amount of IL-16, MCP-3, Eotaxin, CTACK, Fas, Fasligand, HGF, HBA1c, and HDL in your bloodstream.
The measurements are used to calculate the following:
- Your PULS cardiac score
- Your expected score
- Your “Heart Age”
The PULS cardiac score is calculated from your results of 9 different markers as well as age, sex, diabetes, and family history. It shows your risk of a heart attack occuring in the next 5 years.
The expected score is calculated based on your age and gender.
Heart Age is calculated with the PULS cardiac score and expected score. It will be greater than your chronological age if you have a high PULS cardiac score.
Should I do the PULS test? Yes, if…
- You want to know your risk of cardiovascular disease (heart attack or stroke)
- You have a family history of stroke, heart attack, or heart disease
- You are over 40 years old
- You have risk factors for heart disease (you smoke, have diabetes, are sedentary or overweight)

- You have high blood pressure, diabetes or are overweight
- You are relatively inactive
- You smoke, or often drink alcohol

An Omega-3 Fatty Acid test measures the amount of Omega-3s in the blood.
Included in this test is a calculation of your Omega score and Omega-3 index. These evaluations screen for fatty acid-associated risk of cardiovascular events.
Omega-3s are important for healthy cell membranes and cell receptor function. They are also needed for hormones involved in blood clotting, inflammation, and artery wall contraction and relaxation.
Omega-3 deficiency is common in cardiovascular disease, autoimmune disease and cancer.
